Words Are Important

Back in 2017  we talked to the community of people who use drugs about how language impacted their lives and overall wellbeing and put together some guidelines that explain how stigma can be present in our language and the want we talk to/about people who use drugs.

We are currently working on updating the guidelines but, while you wait, you can check out our 2017 document here UISCE- Stigmatising language and preferred terminology.
